What types of pet surgery do we offer?

Our veterinary team has training and experience in a wide range of surgical procedures when it comes to your pet's emergency care needs. Some common surgical procedures our team performs include:

 

  • Gastric/Intestinal obstruction and foreign body removals
  • Splenectomy
  • Cystotomy (bladder stone removal)
  • Perineal Urethrostomy (for repeatedly blocked male cats)
  • Skin mass removals & histopathology
  • Preventative gastropexy (stomach tacking for giant or large breed dogs)
  • Brachycephalic airway surgery (stenotic nares repair and elongated soft palate reduction)

Soft-Tissue Surgery

Soft-tissue surgery involves a wide spectrum of procedures focusing on your pet's organs, tissues, and structures, excluding bones and joints. This includes surgeries performed on organs such as the skin, muscles, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, urogenital tract, and other soft tissues in the body.

ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY

We offer orthopedic surgery exclusively at our White Rock location only. Performed through our reputable, knowledgeable and compassionate board-certified Dr. Jennifer Lavender, our clients can access this specialized service when necessary for the health and well-being of their dog or cat.

This includes and is not limited to fracture repairs, patellar luxation repair, femoral head and neck osteotomy (FHO), amputations, and more. However, we do not perform TPLO for ACL injuries.

I love this office. The staff are so friendly and understanding. I'm a doting dog mom who gets nervous even when I just need to take my dog to get annual shots, but I know I'm in great hands. We love Dr. Badamo who is now primarily at the Oak Cliff location, but all of the vets and assistants we've met have been lovely. They are attentive and I don't feel rushed during each consultation.
