Rachel Pena was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in 2009 and has worked in the veterinary field since then. She has loved animals since she was a little girl and was brought up around all kinds, from farm animals to dogs and cats. 

During her work, Rachel once traveled to Saipan, a Northern Mariana island, for a spay and neuter mission trip. 

Rachel has one dog, Ivory, an American Bulldog mix. Ivory was rescued at a very young age from a home where she was not cared for properly. She has been Rachel’s pride and joy since she was a pup. 

Rachel’s other pride and joy are her three daughters, who love cheerleading and sports. Rachel says becoming a wife and mom has been the most rewarding experience in her life! It makes sense that if she were an animal, she’d be an elephant. She’s very protective with strong social bonding and empathy skills.
