Why is my pet itching?

“Pruritus”, the medical term for itchy skin, is a common issue among pets that can arise from various factors. Allergies are often the primary culprit, but other conditions can also cause itching, such as:

Dr. Lauren Strazdis is phenomenal. She has been treating our deaf, partially blind and slightly neurological foster puppy. Her professionalism and bedside manner are truly first class. I love this office. The staff are so friendly and understanding. I'm a doting dog mom who gets nervous even when I just need to take my dog to get annual shots, but I know I'm in great hands. We love Dr. Badamo who is now primarily at the Oak Cliff location, but all of the vets and assistants we've met have been lovely. They are attentive and I don't feel rushed during each consultation.
